Puppy Foundation Classes
Puppy foundation classes are designed to incorporate obedience, socialization and pre-agility skills. At the younger end of the age spectrum the classes include mostly basic obedience skills and socialization. As the dog becomes older then more pre-agility skills are incorporated into the training. Puppies of any age are welcome.
These classes include:
- Concept of reward and communication with your dog
- Developing a relationship with your dog
- Basic obedience skills
- Training techniques including clicker training and target training
- Building motivation and drive
- Focus work
- On lead and off lead control
- Foundation work for future handling skills
- Safe introduction to equipment appropriate to young and beginner dogs
