Agility Training

Training takes place at an outdoor venue located near Bingham in Nottinghamshire. The venue is a totally enclosed paddock and a full agility kit is available including specialist training equipment for beginner dogs.

Agility Foundation/Puppy Classes
These classes are designed to introduce agility to newcomers to the sport, both handler and dog. They include:

  • Concept of reward
  • Basic Obedience
  • Basic Control for Agility
  • Training techniques including clicker training
  • Developing a relationship with your dog
  • Foundation work for future handling skills
  • Safe introduction to equipment appropriate to young and beginner dogs

Starters Agility Classes
These classes are designed to introduce the dog and handler to the full set of agility equipment and to build up basic handling skills. They include:

  • Concept of reward
  • Development of basic obedience skills
  • Development of basic control skills for Agility
  • Agility Training techniques including clicker training
  • Safe introduction to standard equipment tailored to you and your dog's needs
  • Basic handling skills
  • Training in obstacle sequencing
  • Progression towards running full agility courses and competitive agility

Competitive Agility Classes
These classes are for dog and handler partnerships who wish to improve their course negotiating skills. They include:

  • More advanced handling skills
  • Distance handling training
  • Course analysis techniques
  • Course scenarios
  • Breakdown of component sequences

One-to-one Training
Although working in a training class is highly recommended, sometimes one to one training may be beneficial. One to one sessions are offered at all training levels.
